Who I am

At work

I am a web developer. I made several websites, intranets and some rather complex applications, using web technologies such as ASP and PHP, and the most modern browser-side programming: XHTML, CSS, Javascript, ajax.

My field of interest in my work is mainly usability: I am convinced that information technology should be a service to the person and not a "solution" (a term often used inappropriately in this field). I am also a lover of simple, clean and effective graphics, although I can not say that I am a graphic artist.

My intention, utopian indeed, is to help make the Web an area a bit more for people, and not just for technics.

Secondly, I also deal with software and hardware support: banally, I fix PCs when they are broken...

Finally, I am a operating systems fan, I have tested dozens: from Dos 5.0 to all Windows systems, then GNU / Linux, BSD, BeOS, QNX, SkyOS, Syllabe, and more ... What I liked most? BeOS, no doubt about it, because it reflects my idea of simplicity. Unfortunately, due to purely commercial issues has never really taken off, so I started to work with Linux, that although if it can't state to be being a simple operating system, at least it is stable and efficient.

In my free time

I love sports, I practiced and practice still some of them, especially snowboarding and surfing. Then I have an great passion for motorcycles, I have a very beautiful Suzuki GSF 600 Bandit (black, naked, beautiful) ... I love reading, listening to music, going out ... but above all I love travelling.

Travelling

As a traveller, I am particularly fascinated by Eastern cultures, I like diversity and try to understand habits and customs  of the people I meet. My most important travel was three weeks in Malaysia, alone in 2008, it marked me deeply and from then I am always seeking the next place to visit (and time to do so): perhaps Mongolia, perhaps a tour of Thailand , Cambodia and Vietnam ... Who knows. I'd also like to see black Africa and Central / South America.
